About the program

NeuroLeadership Group's accredited coach training program is for you if you want to develop real hands-on coaching skills. This course is designed for individuals looking to become an internal workplace coach or operate their own coaching practice. We offer one of the coaching world’s most respected and intensive training experiences in Helsinki, Finland.

The program is delivered in English totaling 60 hours of coach specific training that meets e.g. all training requirements to apply for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF) via the portfolio route. Training hours are applicable for all ICF certifications (ACC, PCC, MCC).

Please note that starting from 1.4.2013 you will need 60 coach specific training hours also to become a member of the ICF.

Brain-based - what does it mean?

The most recent findings in neuroscience explain why good coaching works, and also help us understand how coaching should be developed. Results is the forerunner in the field when it comes to applying the findings of neuroscience to coaching methods. Our approach is based on solid theory, which makes Results coaching quite unique. The latest research has indicated that many methods typically used, among other things, in coaching (e.g. in goal setting and in using certain types of questions), do not necessarily serve the client's interest.

We are globally closely networked with the top researchers in the field. We are the founder of NeuroLeadership Institute, organization that aims at advancing the dialogue between neuroscientists and the professionals in the fields of leadership, developing and learning.

High Impact Virtual Experience (HIVE) - what, how and why?

The best way for us to learn is when the training is carried out in short periods that are executed frequently enough. HIVE sessions are proper training sessions run by our trainers. HIVE is a 90 minute telesession, which typically consists of sharing experiences of applying the learnings of the previous session, getting familiar with a new tool and practising using it in a coaching conversation.

We are a forerunner of blended learning, and we have experience in carrying out thousands of telecall trainings. We conducted a global research in 2003, which summarised participants' thoughts about telecall training sessions into the following sentence: "Once people try it, they love it". In addition to efficient learning, the virtual working skills of the participants usually develop remarkably, whether it is about virtual coaching or virtual meetings.

Compared to just having the face-to-face days, the added value gained through HIVE sessions is dramatic. In addition to brain friendly "proportions" of training, our participants have a multiple number of opportunities to try out different tools in practice. Thus, at the end of the training you will be equipped not just with firm theory basis and lots of supporting training materials, but practical skill and know-how.

What makes our programs different?

Our coach training program is built on a theory for how and why coaching works, based on contemporary neuroscience. We call this a 'brain-based' approach to coaching.
This is an experiential training program with over 70% of the course content being practical coaching exercises.
You will be trained in a science-based, proven coaching methodology that can be applied to all types of coaching - business coaching, executive coaching, workplace coaching and life coaching.
As a Results trained coach you will be given exclusive free access to our post training support. This includes an access to coach networking community groups, mentoring program and much more that will support you becoming the best coach you can be.

Mentoring program to support your learning

We also offer mentoring programs for our alumni to further support your learning. Mentoring program is especially designed for coaches who want to become certified with the ICF, as mentoring is mandatory for the ICF certification.

Our mentoring program includes 10 hours of mentoring, combining both group and individual mentoring sessions. You will get to discuss and share your experiences with your fellow coaches as well as get support from our experienced mentors for your own development as a coach in the individual mentoring sessions.

The first training provider in Finland with ICF's highest ACTP accreditation

NeuroLeadership Group is the first training provider in Finland that has the highest ACTP accreditation of International Coach Federation.

Professional support during and after the program

We support coaches that have taken our training in a unique way. You will become a member of an active Results Community and gain access to the most recent knowlegde and tools in the field. There are already more than 150 Results coaches in Finland alone, and globally we have trained over 10,000 coaches. On average, 90% of our participants invoice for their coaching within three months since they have started the training.
